Brief Method Summary
This method supplements the U.S. EPA's SW-846 Method 6020 (EPA 1992), and addresses the application of inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to radionuclides that are not covered in 6020. The concentrations of radionuclides in a digested sample are determined using an ICP-MS system. |
Scope and Application
This method determines radionuclides in aqueous solutions, and is applicable only to samples with low radioactivity (so that minimum shielding is required). |
Applicable Concentration Range
None given. |
Interferences
Potential elemental and isobaric interferences. |
Quality Control Requirements
Control chart of references standards no less than once a week when analyzing samples. |
Sample Handling
Address the initial sample collection and handling in the SOP or in the project SOW. |
Maximum Holding Time

Relative Cost
$51 to $200 |
